Percy Jackson and the Olympians

This project was a really fun one to work on. I worked on three characters during my time on this show. Most of my time was spent working on the Chimera and Alecto. I also worked on a giant Eagle for a sequence that was unfortunately cut from the show. We had a short timeline for this show at MPC, I spent a total of 4 months on this show. I led a team of 4 artists to bring the characters to life.

Alecto was the most challenging character to get right as Disney did not know what they wanted the character to look like for a while and we eventually ended up redesigning her almost from scratch towards the end. Her original look based on the concepts we received was lot more colorful and vibrant, which did not showcase her as being a formidable opponent to Percy, so in her redesign we opted in for darker colors to make her look more evil and less playful.
